You will follow the plan below and work it into the fold.
Here again we are going to keep it simple. Smart, rugged men keep things simple; simple but not easy.
Easy is for weak men. We are men on the way to Self-Mastery. Men Becoming a Force of Nature. You will hear it often as I write to you, there are no more weak men here.
The time for coasting along and lollygagging has passed. You will certainly not become bulletproof, but you will embrace your future. This will be a future crafted with by your own hand.
There is a better man deep within, with top tier God given ability that you will pare away to reveal.
Rule Number One
Rule number one to get fit: abdominal crunches every day, no exceptions.
The primary reason for this rule is focus. Maintaining your physique must become a permanent part of your life, no matter your age. It should always be on your mind that working out is part of who you are.
Between formal workouts and on killer work and family days, the abdominal work you do for 60 seconds will keep you on track.
As a man, maintaining a solid core will help prevent injury and add to your physical strength.
Despite all the technological wonders of modern life, we still live in a physical world where your strength, presence and appearance do matter. Do yourself an easy favor and invest 1 minute per day on your midsection.
Rule Number Two: Start Lifting
Here is the big picture plan for exercise: you’ve got to lift weights.
The benefits from lifting go way beyond just adding muscle mass and making you stronger. There many other physiological, life enhancing and life extending benefits, but this is a more esoteric post for another day.
Bottom line though, as you cut weight you don’t want to walk around as what I call skinny soft. Skinny soft is better than fat soft, but this is in no way the path for rugged men. You want to show burgeoning physical development. You want to show HARDNESS and POWER.
Cutting significant weight on its own is a solid accomplishment, but combine that with muscle development and you’ve got yourself a life changing transformation in the works – both physical and mental.
Believe me, getting control of and excelling in your physical person will ripple through everything else in your life.
Supplement with high intensity cardio, but lift three times per week. All you need is 30 minutes, three times per week to radically transform yourself.
Let’s do some simple math. Six months is 26 weeks.Twenty six times 3 workouts per week are 78. Combined with the proper diet in 78 half hour sessions everyone you know will start to take notice, especially your woman. She will also see the discipline and the character you are developing through lifting.
Make no mistake, the effect here will be powerful. Six months’ time will pass whether you lift or not. Make the commitment to yourself to go the full twenty six weeks. Lifting will become a habit and the addictive psychological momentum you have created will propel your overall plan in the pursuit of your Ultimate Self.
Fitness Rules of Thumb
How much fitness is enough? We are not children anymore and the time for games is past. Being in world class physical condition is for professional athletes who get paid for it.
Too much time spent on fitness will take away from your primary mission as a man which is to develop yourself to your full potential. Keep the proper balance and all those around you will benefit. Consistency is the key.
Max’s fitness rules of thumb: I want 6 pack abs, I want to catch women looking at my arms when I’m wearing a t-shirt, I want to look like an athlete in clothes and I want to be able to go all out beast mode for 45 seconds and still be on my feet with my fists up and ready for more.
And by the way, that goes for a man of any age.
Chase your best. Get yourself in shape. Make it a part of your life.
Believe me you are now going to need the energy. Becoming a Force of Nature will take everything you’ve got. Vigor will become your ally and your secret weapon as you reap your personal glory while other men are put out to pasture.
