A Rugged Individualist will never stop and he won’t quit. He considers himself unbreakable until his final day when the Creator comes calling.
Can he be blindsided and knocked off his feet? Of course. Can he be betrayed by someone very close to him and shaken to his core? Absolutely. Get hurt, ill or fail miserably? Yes, yes and yes.
But a truly rugged man pursuing his very best as a matter of principle realizes that such is the nature of life. After the immediate shock wears off he will gather his bearings, step back and remind himself that this is one of those times.
This is it. This is the test. No matter how personal or how deep the cut, the only answer is to press forward. Action is the only way out.
He will then push back against his adversary or circumstance twice as hard. Because he understands this is how the day will be won in the end. It is in his essence to accept the challenge and learn from it.
We are put on this earth to face challenges and by their very nature they will hurt like hell.
He will accept that fact and resolve to handle it all.
There is no choice in the matter; you will have to become indomitable.
If you’ve bookmarked this site and decided Becoming a Force of Nature is to your liking, welcome to your new hardcore essence. No matter your present circumstance, age or past it is time to wipe the slate clean and start fresh.
We are sentient beings. Realize this, take control and separate yourself from past weakness. Today is 100% independent of yesterday. Today is a blank slate and ripe for positive change, make the decision to become indomitable and never look back.
Start right now.
Design your Life Mission. This is the key. Make it a righteous one and you will leverage the power of the Creator. A man should be smart and give himself every advantage.
Our existence has been designed so that doing what is right in life will tip the scales in your favor. Is it a guarantee or will it be easy? Of course not, but a man would be wise not to contradict the natural order.
This will be your anchor each and every day as the fog of life rears its ugly head. And rear its ugly head it will. Expect it and accept it. This is the challenge.
The answer to that challenge is to never stop. If you never stop in the pursuit of your Life Mission and Life Vision you will indeed become indomitable by definition. Simple isn’t it? Simple but not easy.
Start with a 30 day pledge to yourself. Take it one day at a time. Nothing will stop you from living your new life for 30 days. Focus on the process and ignore the results.
Mark a big thick black “X” through each day on a physical calendar and watch the days add up. Consider each day, each bold X a personal trophy no matter your age or social standing. You are never too old or too good to start from scratch. Have the courage and be humble enough to get started and build a simple foundation for momentum.
Read and reread the posts from this blog. Internalize the content. Read any other motivational or educational content that is consistent with your Purpose. Reprogram your thinking. Change the biochemical makeup of your brain through reading, action and repetition.
You will complete the first 30 days with an indomitable spirit.
Your Life Mission will be on track.
Life will now be exciting once again because you will be living with purpose and precision.
And there will be no doubt in your mind you can continue indefinitely. Imagine the possibilities.
You are righteous in your intentions. You are a unique genetic specimen designed with a heart that magically beats on its own and you possess the most amazing creation in the universe: the human brain. This is an embarrassment of riches.
On top of it all you will not stop in your pursuit of personal greatness. We now know you can live every day with an indomitable spirit.
It’s time to get to work.
Roll that calendar over, press on and reap the glory that awaits you.
Simple Elegance and Quiet Perfection
A Rugged Individualist does not run around like a peacock attracting attention to himself for validation. Although he is well respected and admired by those who know him there is also no need for the approval from others regarding how he chooses to live his life.
Our man carves his own path as he sees fit. He is his own man after all. This is why we call him an Individualist. The social separation from others is not the goal, but if that is the way it needs to be as he lives his life then so be it. No need to worry here though, his solid character and upward Trajectory will eventually attract other quality people. It is only natural.
What matters most is doing things right. There is an innate satisfaction that comes from the Simple Elegance of the process and product of everything he does. There is a right way and a wrong way to get things done. And an order and symmetry to everything, which in itself makes life worth living. Everything has its proper sequence and place to be.
The man’s home and automobile are spotless and uncluttered. Minimalism is the word here. He has but a few nice things that are appreciated each day. Materialism is for the masses, not for him and his woman. Clarity and open space are much better than accumulation and suffocation. Lean and clean are the words of principle here.
This same philosophy for material things crosses over to diet, physique and finances. The correct habits are learned, improved upon and enjoyed every day. Here too it is the proper and simple things repeated over and over again that will lead to excellence.
The pursuit of excellence as such will sometimes result in a close brush with perfection. Although true perfection is realized as solely the province of the Creator, once in a while outstanding near perfect earthly results will be achieved.
When this is the case, there is no need for fanfare. A Rugged Individualist seeks a Quiet Perfection for his own satisfaction. The goal is to please himself and meet his own high standards. The end result is its own best reward. It will become a healthy addiction that leads to more capacity and better production.
Yes indeed, there is a Simple Elegance and Quiet Perfection to everything he does. It is a way of life.
It is a necessary way of life because the day’s events and people will conspire to confuse and disturb. This is the challenge – to maintain order and symmetry day in and day out and to continue to pursue excellence no matter what.
With a steely determination and ruggedness of character he will outlast them all.
The days will add up and the results will be outstanding.
Life will be good and the next day always better than the last.
Live with Personal Power
Above all else a Rugged Individualist will live with Personal Power.
He realizes that ultimately the responsibility for everything in his life rests on his shoulders and his alone. He will embrace this responsibility because he understands it places all the power for success, achievement and joy in his own hands.
Think about this for a moment. Make it an epiphany. This is Personal Power.
Look down at your own hands. Figuratively speaking, there is the answer to becoming your very best. This is how you become a Force of Nature. You live with the Personal Power that it all rests with you.
Get out of your own way and go after it. Stop holding back.
The biggest obstacle in any man’s life is himself. As soon as you realize this and take full responsibility for your circumstance, the better off you will be. Life will be full of promise and excitement because at last you’ve decide to take the gloves off and get serious.
No more of the easy path, no more comfortable and no more fear holding you back.
You will now live free from the fear of failure. Free here does not mean without. It means in spite of the fear of failure. After all, fear can be a tremendous motivator and is a legitimate emotion built into our DNA for our benefit. The key is to manage it, use it and press on regardless. This is living free.
After all, better to live with some fear as a man pursuing his Ultimate Self than live in comfort as half the man you should be. It would not be right to do so. At some point in a man’s life he realizes this. He gets tired of himself. He gets tired of being comfortable.
The Creator gave you all the unique potential he did for good reason. It is meant to be exercised and developed to its maximum. You have not been given a beating heart just to consume oxygen on this planet. There is a reason for your life; a meaningful and worthy reason.
Even if it is just personal achievement for the sheer joy of success, it is a good thing.
Throw caution aside and get started tearing after that reason. Deep down you know what it is and the goals you need to achieve. There is nothing better that a man can do for himself and his loved ones.
It’s time to make the hard decisions that need to be made to change your Life Trajectory. We are not adolescents anymore. We have lived a few years and matured to an extent, but with much more still to come. It is plainly obvious what we are capable of and at the deepest level desire to do. Make those decisions and then take action.
Learn to take comfort in the discomfort of your new existence.
Expect it and look forward to it because it will be an indication of your new path in life; a reminder that you are on your way. This is the path that should have been pursued a long time ago. It is righteous and the only answer for you now. There is no turning back.
Take the power away from others and circumstance.
Accept and develop your ultimate potential by living with Personal Power.
Each day will come alive and all will be good.
All the best,
